We have all had the experience and excitement of starting a new job.newhirerollercoaster

Typically we start with great enthusiasm and perhaps a little trepidation. Our knowledge and technical competence accelerates smoothly. The "softer" side of things can be a bit more bumpy.   

 

The initial honeymoon period wears off after a few months and reality starts to bite. Very often when this occurs we feel isolated and a bit lost. We feel we can't confide in our new employers because that would be like admitting our failure.

Through consultation with the organisation, we generate a comprehensive On-boarding brief which we then use to inform the coaching of the new hire. That way, they have a much better probability of "hitting the deck running" and shortening the ramp up period to full performance
